Remarketing & retargeting

Bring back the people who almost enquired.

Most visitors do not convert on their first visit. Remarketing keeps you in front of them until the timing is right, turning interest you have already paid for into enquiries.

Overview

The cheapest audience you have is the one that already knows you.

The vast majority of people who visit a website leave without doing anything. That is normal. They get distracted, they compare options, they mean to come back. Remarketing, sometimes called retargeting, is how you stay in front of those people so that when they are ready, you are the name they remember.

Because these audiences already know you, remarketing is usually one of the most efficient forms of paid advertising there is. The cost per enquiry is often far lower than cold prospecting, precisely because you are talking to warm interest rather than starting from nothing.

We build considered remarketing across Google and paid social: sensible audience windows, tailored messaging for different stages, and frequency controls so you stay visible without becoming irritating. Done with care, it recovers enquiries you would otherwise have lost.

What's included

Warm audiences, handled with care.

  • Audience segmentation

We separate visitors by behaviour and intent, so a browser who glanced at one page is treated differently from someone who reached your enquiry form.

  • Google remarketing

Display, search and video remarketing across Google's network to stay visible as people continue browsing.

  • Social retargeting

Retargeting on Meta and other platforms, with creative tailored to how close someone was to enquiring.

  • Frequency and exclusions

Careful caps and exclusions so you reach the right people the right number of times, and stop showing ads to those who have converted.

  • Message matching

Different messages for different stages, from a gentle reminder to a stronger prompt for those who nearly got in touch.

  • Recovery focus

Particular attention to high-value pages and abandoned enquiries where the payback is greatest.

Common questions

Remarketing & Retargeting, answered.

What is the difference between remarketing and retargeting?

In practice they mean the same thing: showing ads to people who have already interacted with your business. Google tends to use the word remarketing and social platforms tend to say retargeting, but the idea is identical.

Is remarketing intrusive for users?

It does not have to be. The key is sensible frequency caps, appropriate audience windows and excluding people who have already converted. Done with restraint, it acts as a helpful reminder rather than a nuisance.

How effective is remarketing?

Because you are reaching people who already know you, remarketing usually delivers a lower cost per enquiry than cold campaigns. It works best as part of a wider strategy that is also bringing new visitors in.

Do I need a lot of website traffic for it to work?

You need enough traffic to build meaningful audiences, but the threshold is lower than many expect. If your existing campaigns or organic traffic are bringing visitors in, there is usually enough to remarket to.

Which platforms do you run remarketing on?

Primarily Google, across display, search and video, and paid social platforms such as Meta. We choose based on where your audience spends time and where the interest was created in the first place.
